Terms of use

Movers is an introduction and software platform. We are not a removal company and we do not carry out moves.

When you accept a quote, your contract for the move is with the removal company, not with Movers. They are responsible for the work, for their own terms, insurance and liability, and for handling your goods.

We want to be exact about this, because it is easy to imply more protection than exists:

• A deposit you pay through this site is collected for the removal company you booked, using our payment processor.
• Movers does not hold your money in escrow and does not release funds to the company after the job. We are not a payment or escrow service.
• The balance is settled with the removal company directly, under their terms.
• Refunds, cancellations and disputes about the move are a matter between you and the removal company, under their cancellation policy and your statutory rights. We will help by passing on records we hold.

Prices shown before you book are indicative: they are produced from the details you enter and each company’s own published rates. A quote becomes binding on the company only when they issue it and you accept it, and it can legitimately change if the real job differs from what you described — more volume, difficult access, extra services.

A company marked verified has had its details checked by us before being listed. That is a check on the company, not a guarantee of the quality of any individual move, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement. Companies not yet verified are not offered on the public comparison.

Do not submit other people’s personal details without their permission, send abusive or fraudulent enquiries, attempt to access another person’s quote or account, or scrape or overload the service. We may suspend access for any of these.

The link we email you is the key to your quote — anyone holding it can view it and accept it. Treat it like a password and do not post it publicly.

We provide the platform as it is. We do not promise that a company will be available for your date, that an indicative price will be matched, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
